Using the tools
Every tool on CloudOps Toolkit is free to use, with no account and no licence to accept. You may use the output in commercial work, in client work and in anything you publish. There is no attribution requirement, though it is always welcome.
You may not present CloudOps Toolkit as your own product, and you may not automate bulk requests against this site in a way that degrades it for other people. Neither is likely to come up: every tool runs entirely in your browser, so once a page has loaded there is nothing left to request.
No warranty, and what that means in practice
The tools are provided as is, without warranty of any kind. That is the standard phrase, and here is what it actually means for this site.
Every tool states what it cannot see, and those statements are the important part. A validator that reports no problems has checked what it says it checks and nothing more: it has not seen your cluster version, your broker's configuration, your schema registry, your actual data or your traffic. A generator produces a starting point that is correct against the rules it knows, not a configuration that is right for your environment.
Several tools are explicit that they implement a subset of something, or
that a particular value cannot be computed in a browser and is reported
as unavailable rather than guessed. Those notes are load-bearing. Read
them before relying on an answer, and check anything that matters against
the real system: kubectl apply
--dry-run=server, helm
template, your own cluster, your own broker.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for loss or damage arising from use of this site or its output, including configuration that behaved differently in your environment from what a tool suggested. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the site, which is nothing.
Security and secrets
Nothing you paste leaves your browser, which is set out on the privacy page and is verifiable from your own network tab. That said, treat this as you would any tool: prefer redacted samples over live credentials, and be aware that anything you paste is in your browser's memory and may reach your clipboard, your screenshots or your session recording software if you run any.
Some tools deliberately refuse to smooth over a security decision. Where one warns you that an output should not be committed to a repository, that warning is the useful part of the tool.
Availability
There is no uptime commitment and no support obligation. Because the tools run in your browser, a page you already have open keeps working even if the site itself is unreachable.
Payment
There is none. Nothing here is sold, no payment is ever taken, and there is no account to create. There is nothing to refund and no billing relationship to end.
Third-party names
Kubernetes, Kafka, Terraform, Docker, Helm, AWS and other product names belong to their respective owners and are used here descriptively, to say which format a tool reads. CloudOps Toolkit is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them.
Changes
These terms may change, and the date at the top changes with them. Continued use after a change means the current version applies.
